Loading / Discharge Supervision

CCIC offers a broad range of Supply Chain related services to assists international traders. The objective of loading/ discharging supervision is to verify during loading and unloading Operations that the correct material is properly handled and secured on the means of transport. Our company specialists will provide the customers with the assurance that the quality and safety requirements are met and that the goods are handled correctly and safely.

Before our issuance of the survey report or certificate, the following inspections may be carried out: ·

  • Check general appearance of the cargo and/or packaging.
  • Verifying number of packing cases and the marking against contractual specifications.
  • Check appropriate handling procedures during all loading and unloading operations.
  • Check general cleanliness of the means of transport such as hold, railway wagon, cargo plane or ship deck.
  • Check stowing, fastening and wedging on the means of transport, and the protection against the natural elements.
  • Check shipment documents.

Loading/ Discharging supervision offers our customers verification of compliance with specifications and certainty that the goods are being shipped and stored according to good transportation practices. With CCIC’s unique global network, we are able to be the independent inspection agency that’s just around the corner.

Pre-Shipment Inspection

Pre-shipment inspection is offered to exporters and importers and comprises a detailed inspection of equipment or materials after manufacture, but prior to shipment. The scope includes Quantity & Quality, Packing & Marking and Supervision of Loading. A Certificate of Inspection can be provided against a Letter of Credit and authorized by a Chamber of Commerce.

We also offer a host of specifically developed sampling techniques to ensure an accurate representation of the cargo is taken. Our skilled staff can oversee the drawing of these samples, or take them manually if required.

Quality Assurance and Quality Control Inspection

As part of the Supply Chain, QA/QC inspections are performed to verify quality of materials, parts and final products. The object of this service is to independently assess the activities of a specified project are being performed in accordance with all contractual specifications, codes and standards or government regulations. This is verified through check audits, inspections and witnessing.

This service is carried out completely independently of both the individual manufacturer or sub- contractor as well as the purchaser or final user. Quality Assurance (QA) provides the facility owner with adequate confidence that a structure, component, material or system meets pre-stated quality standards and will perform satisfactory during service. Quality Control (QC) is concerned with actual measurement or testing or supervision of manufacturers own final product control, either by inspection of each unit or by sample testing.
