CCIC Jakarta established its own coal laboratory in Samarinda, East Kalimantan, Indonesia in June 2010. Indonesia being the largest exporter of thermal coal in the world and the fact that Kalimantan is rich in coal resources.
In the effort to demonstrate strict compliance to the highest quality and technical assurance, on 20th June 2013, Coal Laboratory in Samarinda has been accredited to ISO 17025 standards by KAN (Komite Akreditasi Nasional), which is the National Accreditation body of Indonesia.
With this setup, we are now able to provide a complete range of services to the international coal community. CCIC Jakarta’s Coal Laboratories can analyse and certify quality of coal originating from pre-shipment and/or stockpile before loading. We also offer quality certification services for coal sampled during loading and discharging.

- Gross Calorific Value
- Ultimate (C,H,N,)
- AFT (Ash Fusion Temperature)
- HGI (Hardgrove Grindability Index)
