CQC ISO 14064 GREENHOUSE GAS VERIFICATION

As a part of the environmental management standard (ISO14000) issued in 2006, the ISO14064 standard is a practical tool which enables governments and enterprises to calculate and control greenhouse gas emissions, and serves the trade of greenhouse gas emissions at the same time. ISO14064 is composed of three parts:

ISO 14064-1: Greenhouse gases — Part 1: Specification with guidance at the organization level for quantification and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions and removals
ISO 14064-2: Greenhouse gases — Part 2: Specification with guidance at the project level for quantification, monitoring and reporting of greenhouse gas emission reductions or removal enhancements
ISO 14064-3: Greenhouse gases — Part 3: Specification with guidance for the verification and validation of greenhouse gas statements

CQC enhances the credibility of corporate greenhouse gas reports from the perspective of third-party verification. At present, it has carried out ISO14064-1 greenhouse gas verification at organization level for more than 300 corporate customers in 23 industries. Through the verification of greenhouse gas inventory, enterprises can further tap their own potential for energy conservation and environmental protection. As an internationally adapted greenhouse gas quantification tool, ISO14064 can also meet the carbon disclosure requirements in the international and domestic supply chains. Through greenhouse gas inventory verification, companies can be fully aware of their own emissions and fulfill social responsibilities; in the meanwhile, they can reduce costs and control environmental risks; meet the supply chain carbon disclosure needs and customer bidding requirements. Greenhouse gas verification is also an important basis for green manufacturing evaluations such as factories and green products; it can also be the reference for applying for green credit and local financial incentives. According to the requirements of target clients, ISO14064 can be combined with different greenhouse gas quantification standards to provide customized greenhouse gas quantification and report verification services for enterprise. Common standards are listed as follows:

ISO 14064-1: Greenhouse gases — Part 1: Specification with guidance at the organization level for quantification and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions and removals
GB/T32150 General guideline of the greenhouse gas emissions accounting and reporting for industrial enterprises
GHG Protocol
Guidelines for National Greenhouse Gas Inventories,IPCC
Guidelines for Compiling Provincial Greenhouse Gas Inventories
Greenhouse Gas Accounting and Reporting Requirements of Various Localities and Industries, etc.
